WINCHESTER ADDITION I : WINCHESTER, MA

The existing house had a small kitchen/family room with poor access to the back yard. The challenge was to create an appropriate sized kitchen with a family room beside it and a three season porch. But in a neighborhood of turn-of-the-century Victorians the clients did not want something that would stand out. The resulting addition used existing house details and an open plan to create a space that had a flowing relationship to the back yard.
